M6000 Portable Decoder with M6300 Base Station

    AML M6000 Series cordless bar code scanning systems bring users the freedom to scan-and-roam up to 150 feet away from the base station, without the high cost of integrated RF scanners. Many users can retain and use existing undecoded, corded laser, CCD or wand scanners for additional savings. AML cordless scanning systems offer an affordable solution to users wishing to eliminate the cost and safety risks associated with extension cables.

    Each M6000 Series cordless bar code scanning system consists of a base station (M6200 or M6300) and an M6000 portable decoder. An undecoded laser, wand, or CCD scanner is connected to the M6000, allowing the user to scan bar codes and roam up to 150 feet (unobstructed line-of-sight) away from the M6200/M6300 base station. The M6000 transmits the scanned bar code data to the base station using a radio frequency (RF) link, where the data is converted into useable IBM compatible PC keyboard data. Each M6200/M6300 base station also features a bar code scanner interface, allowing it to function locally as a decoder for laser, CCD, or wand scanners, in addition to its normal function of receiving and converting wireless data. Each M6200/M6300 can be custom configured to allow up to ten (10) M6000 portable decoders to be used with each base station.

    The M6000 portable decoder is small, lightweight, and easily clips to a pocket opening, belt, or the optional holster. Once configured, simply connect a scanning device, push the button and you are ready to scan. A successful scan is confirmed with an audible beep. The M6000 automatically turns off power after an extended period of no use, so batteries are conserved and not accidentally discharged.
